Our mission…
Build a community of diverse young people that utilize their personal agency to create a more just society.
We do this by fostering young people’s sociopolitical empowerment and growing their social capital, so that they may have the tools they need to make the world a better place.
Empowerment, by definition, builds the skill sets for individuals to self-determine and engage productively in bettering their communities. Even more than this inherent advantage, empowerment has also been correlated with various indicators of well-being in youth, including self-esteem, self-efficacy, identity formation, positive value orientation, meaning in life, quality of life, social integration, social empathy, and learned hopefulness.
